LESSON EXAMPLES

Below are some examples of lessons I have conducted during my student teaching placements.

MATH STATIONS LESSON

1st Grade

Within this lesson, the students were split into four groups.  There were four station in total.  Station one was counting by 1s independently on a worksheet and station two was counting by 10s independently on their iPad.  Station three was skip counting by 1s and 10s while in a small group with me, and station four was a hands-on activity counting by 10s to 120.

ELA LEARNING SUPPORT LESSON

3rd and 4th Lesson

Within this lesson, the students were directly taught the different ways to spell the long /a/ sound.  We followed the scripted I Do, We Do, You Do, method while also using hands-on material.

ELA LESSON

1st Grade

Within this lesson, the students were learning the /oa/ and /ow/ vowel teams, practicing their fluency and automaticity, working through an ECRI Routine, and practicing sight words.  Many sections of this lesson were interactive and engaging for each of the students in the class.  We ended with a song the students could dance to as a short brain break.
